Sodium Formate

Crystalline powder of white or gray color without foreign impurities visible to the naked eye. A greenish shade is allowed.

Safety requirements

By the degree of exposure to the body, it refers to substances of hazard class 4. Hazard to human: in high concentrations, sodium formate can cause irritation of the upper respiratory tract and mucous membranes. Personal protective equipment: when working with sodium formate, individual protective equipment should be used — gown, respirator, rubber gloves. In emergency situations, a gas mask A or M should be used.

Sodium formiate is technically explosive and not combustible, however, in places of storage and work with it, smoking and the use of open flame.
