КО-814

Enamel KO-814 (for steel, glass and ceramics, the enamel is resistant to temperatures from -50 0С to +500 0С) GOST 11066-74

COMPOSITION:

Enamel KO-814 — is obtained by mixing lacquer KO-85 with aluminum powder PAP-1, PAP-2.

PURPOSE:

Enamel KO-814 is used as a protective coating in the glass, ceramic, construction industry to improve strength and frost resistance, and corrosion resistance of metal equipment, oil, gas, steam, waste incinerators. Enamel KO-814, also, is used for painting exhaust systems of cars, engine parts and other metal surfaces, operated in conditions of aggressive environment and temperatures from -50 0С to +500 0С. Enamel KO-814 has increased weather resistance, moisture resistance, resistance to salts, resistance to oil products and gasoline products.

PREPARATION FOR APPLICATION:

Enamel KO-814 is ready for painting. To do this, take the lacquer KO-85, mix it with aluminum powder in the ratio: for 100 parts of lacquer — 5 parts of aluminum powder. Before use, enamel KO-814 must be thoroughly mixed until the precipitate disappears completely.

SOLVENTS:

If the dilution of enamel KO-814 is necessary, the following solvents are used: P-5, 644, solvent, xylene.

EMERGENCY ENERGY:

Enamel KO-814 should be used within 8 hours after preparation.

APPLICATION TO THE SURFACE:

Finished enamel KO-814 — can be applied to the surface with a paint sprayer, roller, brush or dipping. Before use, enamel KO-814 must be thoroughly mixed until the precipitate disappears completely. Painting is performed on a dry, defatted surface at ambient air temperature and the surface on which enamel KO-814 will be applied within the temperature range: from -30 0С to +400 0С. Metal surfaces are painted in 2-3 cross-layers with intermediate drying between layers 0,5-2,0 hours depending on the ambient air temperature. Concrete, asbestos cement, plastered, cement-neutral surfaces are painted in three layers.

DRYING OF ENAMY:

Drying KO-814 at a temperature of (20 + 5) 0С is not more than 3 hours. When operating the coating in an aggressive environment (mineral oil, gasoline, salt fog), it is recommended to heat the coating at 250-400 ° C for 15-20 minutes. The optimum thickness of the dried coating on products used in conditions of elevated (400-500) 0C temperatures should be 30-40 microns at an enamel consumption of 50-80 g / m 2. The thickness of a dried coating on surfaces that are operated in atmospheric conditions with high humidity and temperatures up to 100 ° C, is 40-50 microns at an enamel consumption of 80-100 g / m 2.

STORAGE CONDITIONS:

Enamel KO-84 should be stored in tightly closed containers, protecting from moisture, heat and sunlight.
