КО-88

Enamel KO-88 (for car radiators, steel, titanium and aluminum surfaces exposed to temperatures up to 500 ° C)

COMPOSITION:

Enamel KO-88 is a two-component, heat-resistant enamel based on silicone-organic lacquer KO-08 and aluminum powder PAP-2.

APPLICATION AREA:

Enamel KO-88 is intended for protective (anticorrosive) painting of steel, titanium and aluminum surfaces exposed to temperatures up to 500 ° C. Also, Enamel KO-88 can be used for painting car radiators and other equipment parts, which lasts for a long time at a temperature of 500 ° C.

FEATURES:

Enamel KO-88 is applied without a primer.

PROPERTIES:

After drying, the enamel KO-88 silver forms a heat-resistant coating that can withstand prolonged exposure to temperatures up to 500 0С, with good protective properties and high moisture resistance. Enamel KO-88 is applied at a temperature from minus 30 ° C to plus 40 ° C.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

The surface to be painted with enamels of KO-88 must be cleaned of mechanical impurities, water-soluble salts, fats, oil and degreased. The surface must be dry and clean before painting. The method of cleaning the surface of oxides is selected depending on the degree of oxidation of the surface of metals. Cleaning of rust, scale, remains of the old paint is done manually by mechanical means (brushes) or sandblasting method to the degree 5A2 -5A2.5 according to the international standard ISO 8501-1: 1988. Surface roughness (according to GOST 9.032) for grade III coating up to 10 microns.

APPLICATION:

Enamel KO-88 is prepared immediately before use, by mixing 100 parts by weight of Varnish KO-08 and 21 parts by weight of aluminum powder PAP-2. Enamel KO-88 is applied to the surface in 2 cross-layers by pneumatic or
airless spraying using a spray nozzle with a diameter of 1.8-2.5 mm. The intermediate drying time of the first layer is from 0.5 to 2 hours, depending on the ambient temperature. Full curing of enamel KO-88 occurs during operation. The thickness of one layer of enamel KO-88 should be — 20-25 microns.

CONSUMPTION:

Consumption of enamel KO-88 silvery on one layer is 110 -140 g / m 2.

Solvents for Enamel KO-88:

Before application, the finished enamel of KO-88, if necessary, is diluted with xylene, toluene or solvent and mixed until the precipitate disappears completely.

STORAGE:

Lacquer KO-08 and aluminum powder should be stored separately, — not mixing. The warranty period for Lak KO-08 and aluminum powder is 12 months from the date of manufacture.
