Sodium Borate thread

The most common and used boron compound, forms several crystalline hydrates, is widely used in industry.

Application

Tetraborate sodium is used:

in the production of enamels, glazes, optical and color glasses;

when soldering and melting metals as flux;

in the paper and pharmaceutical industry;

in the production of building materials as a component of antiseptic for the manufacture of cellulose insulation «Ecowool»

as a disinfectant and preservative;

for preparation of buffer solutions;

in analytical chemistry:

As a standard substance for determining the concentration of acid solutions;

in photography — as part of slow-acting developers as a weak accelerating agent ;

as a component of detergents;

s a component of cosmetics;

as raw materials for boron.
