Lubricant VNIINP-228 (OST 38.01438-87) — a mixture of oil and dioctyl sebacate, thickened with complex sodium soap; contains antioxidant and antiwear additives. It has better lubricating properties and greater serviceability at a higher application temperature than VNIINP-223. Lubrication VNIINP-228 is operable at a residual pressure of 13.3 Pa and a temperature of -45 … + 150 ° С.
